The short version
- Credits you have already spent on completed clips are not refundable.
- Credits taken for a job that failed are returned automatically, without you asking.
- Charged for something you did not intend, or charged twice? We refund it.
- Cancel any time; you keep the period you have paid for and are not billed again.
1. Statutory rights come first
If the law where you live gives you a right to cancel or a right to a refund, you have it, and nothing on this page takes it away. In the UK and EU that includes the 14-day right to withdraw from a distance contract — with the usual caveat that once you ask us to start processing a video, you have consented to us beginning immediately, and the credits used for work already delivered are not refundable.
2. Subscriptions
Plans are billed in advance for each period. When you cancel, the cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for: you keep the plan and its credits until then, and you are not billed again. We do not pro-rate a partial month back to you, because you keep the use of it.
We will refund a subscription charge in full where:
- you were billed after cancelling;
- you were billed twice for the same period;
- a renewal went through and you had not used any credits from that new period, and you tell us within 14 days;
- the Service was unavailable for a substantial part of the period, or we discontinued it.
Upgrading mid-period charges you the difference and takes effect immediately. Downgrading takes effect at the end of the current period, so there is nothing to refund.
3. Credit packs
Credit packs are one-off purchases and never expire. Unused credits from a pack are refundable within 14 days of purchase, provided none of them have been spent. Once a pack has been partly used, the remainder is not refundable — but it also does not expire, so it stays available to you.
4. Failed and cancelled jobs
Credits are reserved when a job starts and charged only when it finishes. If a job fails, or you cancel it, the reservation is returned to your balance automatically. You do not need to contact us, and there is nothing to claim.
If you believe a job was charged but produced nothing usable, tell us. Where our processing was at fault we credit the account.
5. What we do not refund
- Clips you did not like. Clip selection is a judgement made by an AI model, and the Service does not promise that its choices will match yours. That is why the free plan exists and why each clip shows its reasoning — judge the output before you pay for volume.
- Credits spent on completed processing, including where you then deleted the clips.
- Clips deleted at the end of your retention window. The window is published on the pricing page and we email you before it expires.
- An account we closed for breaching the Terms of Service.
- Charges older than 90 days, unless the law requires otherwise.
6. How to ask
Use the contact form or email noreply@clipspark.online with the account email address and the date and amount of the charge. We aim to answer within two business days and to decide within five.
Approved refunds are issued by Polar, our merchant of record, back to the original payment method. How quickly it appears is up to your bank — usually 5 to 10 business days.
7. Chargebacks
Please ask us before asking your bank. A chargeback costs us a fee and freezes the matter while it is investigated, which makes it slower for you than a refund. We will not close an account for raising one, but we may suspend processing while a disputed charge is outstanding.
